There’s few things that can so easily bring a smile to my face than snail mail. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- bills should not be the only thing that shows up in your mail. Especially near your birthday! Here’s some birthday cards I’ve sent off recently that I’m in love with. It doesn’t take much to get a gift/card in the mail and I’ll argue that it’s always worth the effort.
(Please forgive my messy writing) I picked up some of these witty cards from Amy Smyth a while back- they’re so clever and I’m a bit tired of overly sentimental wishes. The blue card simply says ‘Happy Birthday’ on the inside and the the one below says ‘…who has excellent taste in friends!’. Clever huh?
The little notebooks (I love notebooks too… you can never have too many, one for everything!) are great to send in the mail because they fit with a standard card and don’t send postage costs through the roof! I’ve seen different posts for ideas that fit under the weight for standard postage but in Canada we have a standard size as well… so no frisbees in the mail here (how sad). The green notebook is from Michaels and the one below from Target. This nailpolish is amazing… have you tried Butter London? It’s fabulous. This shade is called Shandy- the perfect neutral. Tie it up with some pretty ribbon or decorate with some paper tape and send away! You can’t get more simple than this.
What do you love most about receiving mail? This is my latest and favourite treat I received in the mail- a card and super cute book about twins from my aunt. I took the picture of it all wrapped up while walking back from the mailbox on my camera phone- I couldn’t wait until I got home to unwrap it!
