You guys! I can’t even believe how much has happened here on Lemon Thistle this year. Looking back over statistics to see what you guys liked was a fun reminder of all the projects we took on not just this year but in years past. I’m into the third year of Lemon Thistle so it’s fun to see some OOOOOOLD posts still topping the most viewed charts each and every month. Today I’m sharing those top posts from the past year with you. I decided I’d do this with three ‘Top 5’ lists, just like last year. All statistics are just from this past year: The Top 5 Most Viewed Posts (alltime), the Top 5 Most Viewed Posts (published this year), and my Top 5 Underdog Posts (my favourites that didn’t make the most viewed). If you’re new to Lemon Thistle… this post is for you! I’m sharing the best of the best, the most loved things I’ve crafted, styled, constructed, and cooked (haha, yep- cooked).

FIVE: Friendsgiving 2015: Casual and Organic
You guys, I almost didn’t post this. Not because I didn’t love it but because I kind of rushed through it (you know the… guests will be here in 20 minutes! type of rush). But I think that’s part of the beauty of it… it can be pulled off in NO time at all. I can’t believe it’s charted and was only posted in October! It goes to show you can never predict what people will love.
FOUR: DIY Giant Scrabble and Chalkboard Cornhole
Hurray for giant yard games! This is one of the two posts I created for giant yard games this summer and because I’m such a nerd… the Scrabble is probably my favourite (even over Jenga!).
THREE: 2016 Hand Lettered Calendars
Another post that was shared in September… the 2016 Calendars! I’ll let you in on a secret… even though I said that I’d move them exclusively to my shop January 1st, I’ve been too busy enjoying baby snuggles to take them down from my e-mail freebie page, so if you haven’t snagged them for free yet- there’s still time to hop on my email list and do that!
TWO: DIY Wooden Bath Caddy
Aparently everyone loves the idea of relaxing in a hot bath with a magazine. Do I blame you? NOPE! But even though I love this Wooden Bath Caddy, I haven’t made nearly the use of it I should be. Resolution for 2016? More baths.
ONE: DIY Giant Jenga, Yahtzee and Dominoes
And the other Giant Yard Games post? Number one! I can’t wait for warmer weather this year to start enjoying yard games and barbecue again!

FIVE: Grilled PB, Banana & Honey Sammy
Seriously, though. This peanut butter sandwich is still one of my most popular posts evvaaa!? Why? Do you all like peanut butter that much? For real though, it is delicious ;)
FOUR: DIY Giant Jenga, Yahtzee and Dominoes
Yup! It made both lists (and it’s the only one). I really love this project as much as you guys though. Talk about a barbecue staple.
THREE: DIY Vintage Story Book Baby Shower (for a Boy)
TWO: 2015 Free Printable Calendars
ONE: How to Disassemble a Pallet (without killing yourself)

SIX: How to Get Your Images Web Ready (in a hurry!)
Okay, I couldn’t help it- I just couldn’t narrow it down to five. I could hardly narrow it down to ten… but forced myself to make some cuts. I couldn’t skip over this one because it was a first for me- sharing behind the scenes on blogging! In this post I share how I get my photos from the camera to the web in a hurry and I created my first ever video to show the process (editing included!). It was actually SO close to being in the top 5 for top viewed as well.
FIVE: DIY Drip Dye Tea Towel
Sometimes it’s the small things… am I right? I just love this project so much even though it’s so darn simple. Plus… the copper, the wood… it’s some of my favourite photos.
FOUR: DIY X-Leg Table with Pipe Trestle
Umm hello, huge accomplishment! This was the first big building/ woodwork project we ever took on and I’m SO proud of how it turned out. We finished this in September and it gave us so much confidence to take on more big projects that we’ve already built our kids beds, nightstands, and started on some built in shelving. I can’t wait to share all of these with you! PS… this table is hanging out as our kitchen/dining table right now and it’s amazing. Totally not just a patio table.
THREE: DIY Handlettered Birch Plywood Wall Hanging
This guy is another favourite, and one of yours too! It’s gotten more engagement than almost any other post. Hip hip hurray ;)
TWO: DIY Felt Animal Masks
Another post I HAD to include. These felt animal masks were the first ever e-mail freebie I created. And while it was a TON of work, they’re still some of my favourite photos, kids toys in our home, and favourite posts to create. It was number six on the most viewed posts for the year… it barely missed the cut.
ONE: A Classy Saint Patricks Day Party
Another first for me… This Saint Patrick’s Day Party was not only crazy gorgeous (I don’t know that I’ve styled a more fabulous party) but it was SO much fun to coordinate. I rounded up some of my fave blogging pals to work together on creating this baby. Everything is more fun with friends, right?
So tell me… if you made it to the bottom of this list, do you have a fave?
Such a good idea to look back over the year that was through your posts. SO MANY AMAZING ONES! You should be very proud! Bring on an even more exciting 2016!
These are great choices! I love all of these DIY’s. And your blog looks lovely <3 Keep up the good work.
