Free Printable Hand Lettered Flower Wraps for Mothers Day gifts

Mother’s Day is coming up quickly and although I don’t know what I’ll be getting my mom (now that she’s a Grandma, I feel like kid gifts are a must), I have a simple printable flower wrap that will get a hand picked bouquet of flowers gift ready in a snap.

My kids are a bit young to really enjoy flower picking (they loooove to smell them though, and it’s adorable) but my nieces always want to pick the wildflowers to give as gifts. Wouldn’t it make a sweet gift to go on a wildflower picking adventure and wrap them up in this hand lettered wrap to give?

UPDATE April 2025: This flower wrap is still one of my all time favourite ideas. I also made a last minute DIY version (no sending to the printers!) using kraft paper and a brush pen and put together a little video tutorial if that’s something you’d like to try.

Here’s what you’ll need to pull it all together:

I had the template printed at Staples on 11×17 paper and trimmed off the blank space at the top. I plopped the flowers inside, wrapped the paper around and tied a bow with a ribbon. Super detailed instructions, right? Don’t worry, I do have some more tips here ;)

You’ll need to tie the bow pretty tight to keep it all together. When you’re wrapping your flowers, lay the flowers on an angle as shown and make sure to wrap the piece that looks upside down on the inside, and leave the right way up lettering to layer on top.

Cut the ribbon on an angle to finish it off! After these photos were taken, I re-tied the ribbon tighter as you see in the final photos to help keep it together.

These handlettered flower wraps would make a great last minute gift, or help dress up a store bought bouquet if that’s your mom’s favourite treat. I’ve put almost every word for ‘Mom’ I could think of (and google advised me of) on these wraps so there should be something in there for everyone. Next year I think I’ll have to make one for Grandmas everywhere.
