A couple weeks ago I was asked to do a quick family session for some of our best friends and her family. Their daughter is the first grandbaby for her parents and thought this would be a great gift for the holidays.
We took off in search of a field to do the photos, but the one I had in mind was completely covered in snow! Winter came quick this year, so we snapped a few festive shots before heading back down the hill for some warmer portraits with her family.
I love the look of the fog with the birch trees, and you can’t have holiday photos without some Christmas trees!
It’s amazing the difference in colours as we headed back down the hill. 10 Minutes is all it took to get from winter wonderland back to autumn.
This little girl has so much personality. She really lit up when the rest of the family showed up- it was really the sweetest thing.
What a proud grandma! One of my favourite things about family sessions is watching them interact. The love is so evident, my hope is they can see it when they receive their images.
I love how these turned out. The rich autumn colours look so cozy!
Will you be getting photos done this holiday? My dad and I will be taking some of each others families this weekend. With babies in the picture, I think we’ll make it a yearly tradition. I hear they grow fast (such a parent joke).
