This Sunday is Fathers Day! Do you have big plans? We’re probably working on framing our basement- but we’ll break for a nice lunch and play time with the kiddos. As I mentioned last week, Shane already found his Fathers Day gift, so I thought I should at least make a nice card to surprise him with on the actual day. I fell in love with Emily McDowell’s series of awkward cards when I was looking for a Valentines Day card (before I decided to glitter him one myself), and knew this would be the perfect opportunity to make an awkward card for Shane. And because I have no shame- I’ll share them here for you :)
Although my lettering is nowhere near as pretty as Emily’s, the wording is pretty darn awkward- so I hope you’ll let it pass. I made two different options for you and I honestly haven’t decided which one to use for Shane this year. I got them both printed this morning so I can decide closer to. Here’s the two different options.
The Boogers Card:
And the I’m Always Right Card:
I even feel awkward sharing them with you. Hopefully we share the same sense of humour :) If we do… here’s how you make some for yourself. Just download the Fathers Day card you’d like (or both, I won’t judge) and print it on card stock. Each card uses one whole sheet and if you send it to the print shop as a double sided colour print, it comes out perfectly- at home you’ll need to figure out which way to feed the paper back through your printer to get the inside printed the right direction. To download the card, just click the link below.
What do you have planned for Fathers Day? I’d love to hear!
PS. Looking for more Printables?
These are so funny! I happen to live in awkward, so it’s nice to meet a friend here. Thank you for sharing.
Ah! I’m so glad, it’s a good place to be :)
These are hilarious! I’ve never seen anything like them – so fun.
Found yo at “The Party Bunch” :)
Thanks Kim! I was kind of nervous to post them because they are pretty out there- glad you like :)
hahaha I laughed wayy too hard at these! and i even felt myself turning red…I don’t even have kids.
Too much? Haha, I’m glad the awkward came accross.
My son votes for the booger one explaining, “I like to wipe my boogers.” I share your sense of humor.
Ha! Boogers are my nemesis- nothing gets to my gag reflex quite like them. I’m glad you enjoyed!
