Fall To-Do List: Making time for the important things

Aug 27

UPDATE: Looking for more bucket lists? Find all of my printable ones (with blank copies!) RIGHT HERE.

I have to admit I’ve been letting myself get a little caught up in stress and worry as my due-date draws closer and our apartment is still on the market. Having been told to cut back my activities significantly has also added to the pressure. There’s so much I had planned to get done before life changes! I think about what life will be like once the babies are here… feedings, baths, nap time, and diaper changes. It’s easy to let myself become overwhelmed.

Earlier this week, one of my daily-reads, A Subtle Revelry, posted just what I needed: fun goals for fall. It was such a reminder that even getting into the busy time of year (or for me a new time of life) can be hectic- you can always make time for fun. I decided I must make a list of my own. I used a few of her awesome ideas (how can you say no to a scenic fall drive?) but made sure that my list was manageable with two babes and very, very little free time. You can check out her list here.

Here’s my list:

Fall To Do List- lemonthistle.blogspot.com

1. Try a new soup recipe 2. Decorate pumpkins 3. Host a Thanksgiving dessert night 4. Bake an apple pie 5. Take a bubble bath 6. Have s’mores by candlelight 7. Take pictures in fall leaves 8. Get a fall scented candle 9. Enjoy a scenic fall drive 10. Have a movie marathon 11. Make pumpkin pancakes 12. Visit farmers market 13. Bundle up & grab a latte for a stroll 14. Dress up for Halloween 15. Spoil myself- get a pedicure 16. Start knitting a scarf

None of these things are outrageous… in fact I would probably do a couple of these without realizing it. I love that I can check these things off my list, confident that I’m making time for fun and my sanity.

I should also tell you that those super cute trees, leaves, and even the coffee are actually fonts! And you can get them for free over at Kevin and Amanda. I downloaded all of their Pea fonts and love the doodles that you get with them!

Feel free to take this list and make it your own, I’d love to hear what’s on your fall list! What do you make time for no matter how hectic things get? I’d love to hear!

I LOVE these – very “doable”!!! This is my favorite time of year and I love to do Fall things, but I am just not able to do them all and some are just way out of my craft level. Lol. I would love to share these on my blog?!
