Thank you SO much Bethany! I am so flattered by your comment, it seriously made my day. I really am glad that these projects seem do-able… because they are! I get so frustrated when I look at a ‘simple’ project on Pinterest only to find it requires special skills that I clearly don’t have.

Dorms can be tricky, but that challenge is part of the fun, isn’t it?! Your idea sounds AMAZING, I would love to see how it turns out! You can actually buy magnetic paint instead of using a metal backing. That might save some frustration. ALSO… vinyl is a dream for dorm spaces since it’s removable! You can cut it with a craft knife instead of investing in a cutting machine (think simple shapes like triangles).

I have been looking for a project of yours to emulate but as of right now I am living in a college dorm situation and will be living here for at least another year. It’s hard to find home decor projects that fit that type of room but I would love to have a more personalized space. Right now I’m thinking about getting a large blank canvas and painting this green pattern onto it to put over my desk. Maybe add some hooks or a magnetic back for a message board of sorts.
