I’ve been itching to share this one with you guys and I’m SO excited that today’s the day! If you’ve been following along on social media or if you’re on my (super rad) email list, you’ll know that I recently taught my first ever brush lettering workshop! And it was such a fun night, you guys. I definitely want to do more. But first… some craft workshops. If you want to be kept in the loop on WHEN those are happening, my email list will be the first to know… so y’know… get on it ;)
*If you came to my workshop and are looking for the resource page I promised you, check your emails today!
I’ve been wanting to teach workshops for a while now, but booking a venue, renting tables, setting it all up, buying insurance… it’s too much for me to manage right now. So I’m thrilled to be partnering with MakeShift Kamloops for all my workshops right now. They offer totally rad classes and I’m happy to have them do all the hard work so I can just show up and hang out with you guys! Plus… they take dang good photos (all the photos in this post are from Brianne Sheppard Photography).
I’m going to share all the beautiful photos of the event with you, but I’ll also tell you a bit about the workshop and what I’ve got in store… deal? Most of the workshops I partner with MakeShift will be in this beautiful studio space (called Exposure if you’re local). It has such great light for something like this, and the concrete floor is perfect for messier craft workshops.
Maybe it’s just because I love snacks, but every workshop I ever host from now on will totally have snacks. Donuts probably because these were amazing. But other than the snacks, we got to play with some of my favourite tools (hello Tombow!) and I shared my new brush lettering workbook. I have a few tweaks to make but then I’m planning to have this available for purchase online (SO excited!). I know some of you have been so patient waiting for this… thank you! And after so many sweet requests from non-local lovelies, I’m also planning to do online workshops… I’m just hashing out exactly what that will look like. Here’s a few more peeks at the work book.
I really have nothing else to say. Thank you to those of you lovely souls who came out to the workshop- it was so wonderful to meet you all and of course a big thank you to Makeshift for doing all the legwork on this. I CANT wait to do another one!
Now… how about some student love? It took me SO long to make anything that wasn’t embarrassing to share online, you guys. My writing was SO bad it’s no joke. But these guys rocked it! These two came across my feed and I couldn’t help but share in here.
Again… if you want to be notified of upcoming workshops- craft and lettering… AND online workshops… my email list is the place to be. Sign up below, friend.
The lettering you do if extraordinary! Your students’ work looked outstanding, too. I would have loved to participate in your workshop. I can’t wait to take your online workshop! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much Donna! How sweet!
