In reply to Holly DeWitt. I've just read that if you are introducing more than one wood tone, give each a twin! so the desk matches the shelves and so on. And two is totally fine, nobody expects your floor to match your furniture :)

I am loving everything you are doing with the basement space! And oh so jelly!!! I have very similar floors in my home and always struggle incorporating other wood tones into the space. Can you share your thought process when introducing another wood tone? TIA
